In the beginning a young primary school teacher Daryl Black enters his garage, where he looks through a worn-out scrapbook of a variety of different murders. He turns the page to a young girl Evie, and picks up a red pen to highlight ‘arsonist released from prison...’ We then focus on the wall of Daryl’s garage, and see a range of images of different individuals, each with a red cross, suggesting that they are no longer alive. However, the main focus is on a young woman in the centre of the board, his Goddaughter, Willow. Daryl places a wire in his pocket and places his hood over his head. At midnight Daryl leaves his garage and heads out to hunt for Evie. Daryl follows Willow as she walks home, listening to her music. Evie walks out into the alley way where Daryl strangles and kills her. Daryl quickly hides the wire used to strangle Evie, as he attempts to move the body, Willow realises she dropped her keys walking through the alley way, so turns back to retrieve them. As she does, Willow locks eyes with Daryl; however she is unaware that it is him, and sees the girl at his feet. Daryl abruptly stands up and leaves the alley way, carrying Evie. Willow quickly picks up her keys and runs away.
The following day, Willow leaves her house on her way to work and picks up the local newspaper. The main headline reads ‘young girl commits suicide in local park,’ Willow recognises the girl’s face as someone she knew a few years a go. Later that night she visits her Godfather to talk about the problems she’s facing. She tells him of two men who have been following her home from work every afternoon but isn’t sure why. She tells him that she recognises their faces but cannot recall them. He reassures her that she’s fine, and offers her a bed for the night. After Willow heads of to bed, Daryl is about to enter his garage, when he sees two men outside in a car, taking photos and looking directly towards the house. Daryl watches them for a few seconds and takes the registration number from the car. He then heads into the garage and tracks down the owner of the car. In the early hours of the morning Daryl leaves Willow in his house and heads towards a new estate. He pulls up outside the house and looks towards the car registration number and matches it to his photo. He pulls out an old newspaper article stating the man is guilty of credit card fraud. We then see the man flicking through old bank receipts, laughing and smiling to himself. Daryl enters the room and murders the man, once again making it look like a suicide. Daryl then returns home in the early hours of the morning and adds the man to his scrapbook, once again highlighting in red pen the man’s crime. Willow’s stalkers continue as the film progresses, each time Willow tells her Godfather of them and he deals with them.
Daryl is on his way to Willow’s house when he notices the second man from the car outside his house, and walks over. Daryl demands to know why he’s outside her house, and Brad replies by
telling him Willow owes him. Daryl invites him to his house to find out more and learns that Willow had caused the death of his fiancĂ©e, Maria, after the girls quarrelled on a night out. Willow attacked Maria and left her for dead in the alley way beside her house. He tells Daryl that she was never convicted of her crimes and now he wants revenge. Daryl asks Brad what other crimes he’s talking about and Brad informs him. A flashback is shown of Willow 5 years ago sat with Harry, as they use someone else’s bank card details to purchase their dream home in Florida. However, Daryl learns that Harry’s house was searched by the police and they found that he was guilty of credit card fraud. Willow wasn’t convicted due to lack of evidence against her; he tells Daryl that Harry swore to seek revenge on her, just like Brad. Another flashback is shown of Evie and Willow walking through the streets. He tells Daryl that 2 years ago, Willow and Evie set fire to a local park’s field and caused public destruction. Evie was convicted of this crime, but Willow only received a telling off, hence why she was too after Willow the other night. He explains that the three had formed an alliance, and promised to get rid of Willow and right everyone she had ever done wrong. Daryl doesn’t believe this and attacks Brad. As he lets him go, Brad warns him that Willow will get her comeuppance, and that if he doesn't believe him he should contact Aiden.
Daryl heads to Willow's house and is invited in by her. While the two talk about Willow's issues at work, Willow recieves a series of calls, however she ignores these. Daryl asks who she is avoiding now, but Willow reassures him that it is nothing, and she leaves the room. Whilst she is away, Willow recieves a voicemail. Daryl decides to listen to it and finds its from a man named Aiden, telling Willow that she can't hide from her crimes anymore and that he will come and end it once and for all. He then tells 'Willow' where to meet her tonight. Daryl deletes the message and leaves Willow's house. As Willow returns she finds the house emtpy and no trace of her Godfather.
Daryl attends the meeting later that night and confronts Aiden. Daryl attacks him, however Aiden gains the upperhand and demands to know why he is here. Daryl tells him that he is Willow's Godfather and that he was the one who listened to Aiden's voicemail. Aiden explains that 2 years ago, Willow killed his child, Kelly, after racing along the mainroad beside her house. Despite knowing that Willow was resposible, his wife blamed him for the accident and the pair divorced. His wife, Sarah, went to look for Willow wanting answers. She found her in a local park with a friend and a drunken Willow noticed Sarah and instructed her friend to set the field on fire, seriously injuring Sarah. Sarah fought her case in court, however, Willow wasn't convicted as she wasn't the one to set the field alight. Aiden tells Daryl that his ex-wife has been left mentally and physically scared. And that he wants to seek vengeance for both him and his ex-wife. Daryl believes that Willow is still innocent, and that the man is lying. Aiden becomes fustrated with Daryl and decides to take him to the graveyard where he buried his only daughter.
Daryl leaves the graveyard and enters his garage where he searches for information on the crimes Willow has been accused of. He learns that she was suspected but never convicted of a series of crimes, and learns that Sarah is now in a local mental institute, after never recovering from both her daughters death and from the physical scars. Upon finding this out he contacts Aiden and Brad and tells them that he has a plan and wants them to meet him outside his house tomorrow night. The next day, Daryl visits Willow and tells her that he went to visit little Kelly at the graveyard yesturday. Willow remains silent and carries on as normal. He then says he found that she had killed the girl and that Aiden is looking for her. Willow becomes frantic and asks why he knows Aiden. He reassures her that he will protect her and that she has nothing to worry about.
To be continued....
