Medium shot of Daryl opening the door, walking in and closing the door (match on action)
- To overcome this i will have to make sure that there is continuity when filming. For example, i will make sure that as we cut the shots, Daryl is walking in the same place and walking through the door on the right leg to make it look believable.
- I will do the same when Daryl is opening the door and walking into his garage but instead of a medium shot throughout the shots I will change it to a close up of Daryl's hand opening the door and then an establishing shot of Daryl and his garage. (Close up of Daryl's hand opening the garage door. Establishing shot of the garage and Daryl entering.)
As you can see in this practice shot which we have edited together Becky is stepping through the door on her left foot as we are filming in the corridor and when we film from the room she is walking in she still steps in using her left foot. We made sure she used the same foot because if not the shot wouldn't look real. We made sure that when filming in the corridor we filmed Becky walking through the door and closing it and the same on the other side. This is so when we begin editing we have more footage than we will need giving us the option to cut it where ever in the shot we will need to make it look real. Also, it stop any continuity issues for if she uses the opposite foot.
Close up of clock, Daryl walks in front of camera and pins photo to the wall.
-I think this will be a difficult shot to film because when Daryl walks in front of the camera i will have to make sure that he doesn't cover up too much of the lens because we will need to make sure that the audience will be able to see what he is doing clearly. To overcome this i will take practice shots from different angles to see which angles work and look the best.
Dissolve to crab shot of Willows feet in ally.
-This will be another tricky shot for me to film because Willow is walking down an ally and i will need to follow her with the camera but this will need to look smooth so i will need to try different techniques for holding the camera to see which will work the best and be more effective.
As you can see in this practice shot of a crab shot that we can't properly see Beckys feet at the beginning of the shot and so we had to re-film this again making sure that we can see her feet properly and then I can tilt the camera upwards so we can see her full body.
We then filmed it again so we could see her feet properly from when she walks into the shot. Making it look more effective.
Focus shot of Willow, reverses to focus shot of Daryl.
-To do this i will have a close up of Willows face and Daryl will be walking behind her but the audience will see him over Willows shoulder following her. The focus however will need to change from Willow to Daryl but i need to make it clear to the audience that we should be focusing on him an not Willow. However we chose this shot because it puts the attention on Daryl but it also shows that Willow is unaware that he is behind her.
